SOLUTION project
Expected impact
A considerable number of people in different regions of Europe are concerned with the SOLUTION project: the communities’ inhabitants, politicians, entrepreneurs and experts, as well as all the actors involved in the research, production and distribution of energy.

The research will provide both qualitative and quantitative data and will develop new knowledge in technical and socio-economic fields. The relationship between consumer behaviour and energy consumption, established under concrete field conditions, will provide the basis for proposing concrete answers to the problem of wasting of energy.

The practical measures and the implemented solutions will demonstrate the acquired know how and will confirm that economic, reliable and competitive solutions exist in the field of energy self sufficiency.

Training courses will increase the acceptability of the measures taken and will stimulate habit change amongst target groups.

An attractive information dissemination strategy will provide for easy access and use of the results for replicating the solutions in other European communities.
Efficient management of the project and capitalization of experiences will stimulate the cooperation between communities and partners.
Finally, the SOLUTION project constitutes:
  • a recognition of the growth potential in the renewable energy field and in employment creation in the sector,
  • a motivation to utilise local resources,
  • a contribution to the reduction of energy use costs and dependence,
  • a demonstration of the necessity to involve all stake holders in a coherent initiative at European level.
Newsletter
The Solution project is supported by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission through the Concerto Initiative.
