In Lapua one of the Solution sites is a new residential area in Alanurmo. Plans include a new elementary school building, single detached family homes and terraced houses. The buildings will be built to furfill high energy efficincy standards. Also small scale district heating based on a biomass fuelled heating station is planned for the area.
The plans for the residential area have been put into motion and the city of Lapua has published the zoning draft and related documents in the beginng of May.
The zoning draft and related documents, for the new rasidential area in Alanurmo, Lapua were released for public assement and commenting by the City of Lapua. The documents are in Finnish and they can be viewed through the following links. (OAS, vireille)

The next steps in the zoning process are:

• The zoning proposal will be made public for viewing in September 2010. The proposal can be viewed for 30 days.

•  The City Council will decided on the zoning plans at the end of 2010
