The plan is to provide three small and medium enterprises (SME) with heat replacing individual oil boilers. The three enterprises are a bakery, a workshop and a greenhouse. There are two alternative options being considered.
A bio-boiler fuelled with a combination of field biomass (straw and reed canary) and woodchips. Heat from the bio-boiler would be distributed to the buildings via a small scale district heating network.
A biomass gasification unit fuelled with woodchips and possible other biomasses. The produced gas could then be used to produce electricity and heat. It is also possible to the biogas in bakery ovens that currently burn oil.
